Before you had an iconic shoe that Mut 22 coins was that was the Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you starred in with the Nike Air Trainer 3, that became known as your shoe. What are your memories about your experience with the Air Trainer 3?
Let me explain it in this way. In 1969 when I was in the first grade of my life in rural Alabama in the winter months, it was in 30s in the outside. And I was required to attend school in bare feet. Shoes were not allowed. I'm not telling this story for sentimental reasons or to tell a sad story. However, I do remember my brother being a block away from my home. I'm standing at the front door. The sister I was with stood just a blocks away from me,, and the other one was waiting at the stop for buses. My sister who was at the bus stop spotted the bus crest the hill just a few miles away from her, she'd shout at my sister. She would shout to my brother, and then my brother would shout at me. Then I'd walk out of the door in bare feet. When my brother reached my sister's house I'd have caught him earlier. When we finally got at the stop for buses, I was 15 to 20 yards ahead of my sister and brother. From attending school in bare feet in the winter of '69 to growing up and getting an athletic shoe that was inspired by my own ... It was fortunate.
After some 30 odd years, people continue to brag about the shoe and even collect the shoe. Recently I had a friend from mine Anthony Anderson, the comedian, texted me: 'Hey, Bo! I'm performing a show on the sneakers I own. I'm unable to locate the Air trainers you have. I'm in need that you have!' It happened that I had a pair at my desk. I thought, 'Hey, I have an item here. I'll just mail the pair to you. It's times like those when I just sit in my chair and think, 'Wow!.'
In this NFL year, New York Giants running back and Nike player Saquon Barkley was given his own model of the Air Trainer 3. What was it like to witness him pay tribute to you with the sneakers?
I gave him those shoes. It was like saying"Grasshopper, it's your moment to carry this torch. You must be able to carry it with ease. I am sure that Saquon will do a great job at that. Saquon is a great kid. He reminds me of a number of my own. He is strong and buy Madden 22 coins has his head straight. This is what impresses me the most. It's not his statistics. I like the way the man carries himself.
